The mission of the Physical Facilities Department is to help plan, create and maintain a high quality campus environment conducive to teaching, learning and research within budget constraints.

The staff of the Department of Physical Facilities strives to anticipate and provide the physical environment that enables Missouri S&T to achieve its objectives in teaching, learning, and research. In support of this endeavor, the department has implemented a Work Request System. This system allows the customer to enter routine requests directly into MAXIMO, our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Physical Facilities renders the following institutional services:

  • Architectural and Engineering Services, including master record drawings of all buildings, planning and analysis for Physical Facilities, and development of construction standards.
  • Custodial Services for all the campus buildings.
  • Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Services to University property.
  • Maintenance Services to all University structures and utility distribution systems.
  • Keys System.

Your good judgement normally decides what is urgent and what is routine. Defective light bulbs, cracked windows, or dripping faucets are normally routine. Submit your work request electronically or notify PHYSICAL FACILITIES at extension 4252 (voice mail available for after hours) and the routine request will be fixed as soon as possible.

Electricity failures, broken pipes, or damaging water entry are emergencies. Call 341-4252 immediately. Remember to dial 341-4300 after hours and on weekends and holidays.
